Description

The immunization of rabbits with the recombinant human TMOD1 protein (1-359AA) and final purification from rabbit antiserum by antigen affinity purification causes the creation of the anti-TMOD1 antibody. This TMOD1 antibody is a polyclonal antibody and occurs as an unconjugated IgG. It is reactive with human and mouse TMOD1 protein, a tropomyosin (TM)-binding protein that exerts an important role in controlling the organization of actin filaments. And this anti-TMOD1 antibody has been validated for use in ELISA, WB, and IHC applications.

Target Data

Function Blocks the elongation and depolymerization of the actin filaments at the pointed end. The Tmod/TM complex contributes to the formation of the short actin protofilament, which in turn defines the geometry of the membrane skeleton. May play an important role in regulating the organization of actin filaments by preferentially binding to a specific tropomyosin isoform at its N-terminus.
