Form
Liquid or Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer
If the delivery form is liquid, the default storage buffer is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 5%-50% glycerol. If the delivery form is lyophilized powder, the buffer before lyophilization is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0.
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
3-7 business days
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Important role in the capacity of milk to transport calcium phosphate.; Antioxidant peptide has 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) radical scavenging activity.
Gene References into Functions
  1. There were no associations between x genotype and fertility related traits in this study. PMID: 27065254
  2. The results give insight in phosphorylation of alpha(S1)-CN-8P and alpha(S1)-CN-9P, which seem to be regulated by a different set of genes. PMID: 25200775
  3. Report proteomic detection of bovine alpha-S1-casein in term and preterm human colostrum. PMID: 23755758
  4. Data indicate that the pepsin-pancreatin digest of alphaS-Casein exhibited anxiolytic-like activity. PMID: 23580614
  5. The genetic effects of thyroglobulin and casein alpha s1 alpha in the body fat distribution of cattle are reported. PMID: 23148258
  6. Alpha-S2-casein was less effective at preventing fibril formation by modified kappa-casein, whereas alpha- and alpha-S1 casein were comparably potent inhibitors. PMID: 21457703
  7. Single or multiple amino acid substitutions within IgE-binding epitopes result in reduced binding of milk-specific IgE antibodies. Critical amino acids should be evaluated with individual patient sera to determine B-cell-epitope heterogeneity. PMID: 12897753
  8. determination of T cell reactive epitopes PMID: 15482858
  9. EMSA analysis comparing allelic variants of a polymorphic AP-1 binding site in the promoter region of CSN1S1; specific and reduced protein binding of oligonucleotides containing the G variant of the CSN1S1-175bp binding site was shown PMID: 15905454
  10. An isoelectrofocusing pattern was identified, which may result from a novel CSN1S1 variant, named CSN1S1*I, migrating at an intermediate position between CSN1S1*B and CSN1S1*C. PMID: 18096958
  11. Substitution effects of paternal CSN2alpha (s1) allele versus CSN2 alpha(s2) allele on protein yield deviations (YDs) are significant, whereas their effects on milk and fat YDs are not. PMID: 18263971
