Buffer
If the delivery form is liquid, the default storage buffer is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 5%-50% glycerol.

If the delivery form is lyophilized powder, the buffer before lyophilization is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0.
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.

Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Description

CUSABIO used yeast cells to express N-terminal 6xHis-tagged Candida albicans Candidapepsin-9 (SAP9). This recombinant SAP9 protein is full-length of mature protein containing 18-54aa of Candida albicans SAP9. It underwent validation via SDS-PAGE analysis. Its purity reached up to 90%. Under reducing conditions, a molecular weight band of around 60 kDa was visualized on the SDS-PAGE gel. This recombinant SAP9 protein may be applied to produce specific anti-SAP9 antibodies or in the studies of neuroscience.

Secreted aspartic protease 9 (SAP9) is a potential hyphal-associated factor responsive to serum hyphal-inducing stimuli through a cAMP-protein kinase A pathway mediated by EFG1. It plays a crucial role in serum induced-hyphal formation. And it is conducive to the process of invasion of Candida albicans into the epithelial cells, resulting in host cell damage. Besides, SAP9 is involved in protein–receptor interactions between fungal cells, and the formation of polymicrobial biofilm communities via interkingdom communication.
