Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Storage Condition

Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shelf Life

The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.

Description

This Human ITPKB recombinant protein was produced in E.coli, where the gene sequence encoding Human ITPKB (442-946aa) was expressed with the N-terminal 6xHis-SUMO tag. The purity of this ITPKB protein was greater than 90% by SDS-PAGE.
ITPKB is an enzyme, and its primary function is to phosphorylate inositol trisphosphate (IP3), converting it into inositol tetrakisphosphate (IP4). IP3 and IP4 are important cellular signaling molecules that play a crucial role in the regulation of intracellular calcium ions (Ca2+). In particular, IP3 is considered a trigger for the release of intracellular Ca2+. ITPKB is involved in intracellular calcium ion signaling pathways by regulating the concentrations of IP3 and IP4. These signaling pathways are essential for various cellular processes, including cell proliferation, differentiation, migration, and apoptosis. ITPKB is also believed to be associated with cell cycle regulation. Research has shown that the activity of ITPKB can be influenced by cell cycle regulatory proteins, thereby affecting cell division and proliferation.
