Form
Liquid or Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer
If the delivery form is liquid, the default storage buffer is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 5%-50% glycerol.
Note: If you have any special requirement for the glycerol content, please remark when you place the order.
If the delivery form is lyophilized powder, the buffer before lyophilization is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Basically, we can dispatch the products out in 1-3 working days after receiving your orders. Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

 Q&A
Q:

I am standardizing a protocol to detect the prenylation levels of Rab7. Summarizing the protocol my lysate (coming from a mouse cell line-N2a) is mixed with sepharose beads and recombinant GDI-GST (overnight). If the reaction works, GDI captures only prenylated Rab7, and this protein is pellet with the beads that are linked to GST. So, I was wondering if your product works for this purpose.
Can you please advise?

Product Type: Developed Recombinant Protein
This protein is N-terminal GST-tagged which can be precipitated with the corresponding beads.
We have not verified the activity of the protein and cannot ensure that GDI can interact with prenylated Rab7. However, the fragment we make is only 4 aa less than the full length protein, and the function of this protein is to act on most Rab proteins. Regulates the GDP/GTP exchange reaction of most Rab proteins by inhibiting the dissociation of GDP from them, and the subsequent binding of GTP to them.
It is feasible in theory. We suggest you to purchase small size and have a try first. If the protein can work in your experiment, you could share your result with us and we will provide certain discount for your re-order.
