Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose.
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Sequence-specific, AT-rich binding transcription factor which is part of a developmental regulatory system that provides cells with specific positional identities on the anterior-posterior axis.
Gene References into Functions
  1. we report on the genome-wide profiling of HOXA13 and HOXD13 in vivo binding and changes of the transcriptome and chromatin state in the transition from the early to the late-distal limb developmental program, as well as in Hoxa13(-/-); Hoxd13(-/-) limbs. PMID: 27974206
  2. Data show that almost all muscle masses of the zeugopod (forearm) and part of the triceps contain homeobox protein HOXA13-expressing cells and/or their descendants. PMID: 25980463
  3. Defects in interdigital programmed cell death and digit separation in Hoxa13 mutant mice may be caused in part by reduced levels of RA signaling stemming from a loss in the direct regulation of Aldh1a2 PMID: 23553814
  4. The data demonstrate that simvastatin contributes to prevent the progression of renal fibrosis by upregulating BMP-7-mediated anti-fibrotic signaling and that one aspect of crucial efficacies is achieved by regulating HOXA13 and USAG-1. PMID: 22525429
  5. The results show that overactivation of hedgehog signaling leads to abnormal development of the female reproductive tract, altered levels of Hoxa13 and Wnt5a mRNA, and an aberrant inflammatory response to mating. PMID: 21809434
  6. Data show that cis-regulatory elements driving Hoxd gene expression in distal limbs are present in fish. PMID: 21765002
  7. specific role during appendicular skeletal development PMID: 20034107
  8. complete NMR chemical shift assignments of the mouse HOXA13 DNA binding domain PMID: 19888690
  9. HoxA-13 regulates transcription through multiple pathways PMID: 12771139
  10. Hoxa13 has a role in the vascularization of the glans penis is also identified PMID: 12783783
  11. Immunoprecipitation of HOXA13-bone morphogenetic protein 2 and HOXA13-bone morphogenetic protein 7 enhancer complexes from the developing autopod confirm that endogenous HOXA13 associates with these regions PMID: 15342482
  12. Microarray analysis identified 68 genes with significant, reproducible RNA expression changes in stable HOXA13-expressing cells. PMID: 15733672
  13. the high affinity HOXA13 binding site deduced by quantitative analyses is used in vivo to facilitate HOXA13 target gene regulation, providing a critical advance toward understanding the molecular basis for defects associated with loss of HOXA13 function PMID: 17200107
  14. The distal-specific gene HOXA13 is continually required to maintain the distal-specific transcriptional program in adult fibroblasts PMID: 18245445
  15. At least two sequences remote to the HoxA cluster are required collectively to drive Hoxa13-like expression in developing distal limbs. PMID: 18638319
  16. the antagonistic interaction between Hoxa13-Hoxd13 and Sall1-Sall3 in the developing limb may contribute to the fine-tuning of local Hox activity that leads to proper morphogenesis of each cartilage element of the vertebrate autopod. PMID: 19168674
