Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Protein kinase which is part of a non-canonical MAPK signaling pathway. Activated by APOE, enhances the AP-1-mediated transcription of APP, via a MAP kinase signal transduction pathway composed of MAP2K7 and MAPK1/ERK2 and MAPK3/ERK1. May be an activator of the JNK/SAPK pathway.
Gene References into Functions
  1. These findings demonstrate that pathological activation of DLK is a conserved mechanism that regulates neurodegeneration. PMID: 28814543
  2. These findings identify DLK as a central regulator of not only JNK but also PERK stress signaling in neurons, with both pathways contributing to neurodegeneration. PMID: 28440222
  3. Results provide the first evidence that axon guidance genes are downstream targets of the dual leucine zipper kinase (DLK) signaling pathway, which through their regulation probably modulates neuronal cell development, structure and function. PMID: 27468987
  4. LZK cooperates with DLK to promote retinal ganglion cell death in response to axon injury. PMID: 28641113
  5. the prevention of the nuclear localization of DLK as induced by prediabetic signals with consecutive suppression of beta-cell apoptosis might constitute a novel target in the therapy of diabetes mellitus PMID: 26776303
  6. Data assesses DLK's role in axons of adult, injured CNS neurons in vivo and shows that DLK does not appear to have a critical function in axonal degeneration; function appears restricted to soma PMID: 24878510
  7. This study provides compelling evidence for the pivotal roles of the ZPK/DLK and MKK4/MAP2K4-dependent mechanism in axotomy-induced motoneuron death in neonates PMID: 25100604
  8. DLK-inducible knockouts displayed a modest increase in basal synaptic transmission but had an attenuation of the JNK/c-Jun stress response pathway activation and significantly reduced neuronal degeneration after kainic acid-induced seizures. PMID: 24166713
  9. Abundance of DLK in turn controlled the levels of downstream JNK signaling and apoptosis. PMID: 23979718
  10. DLK is required for RGC JNK activation and cell death in a rodent model of optic neuropathy PMID: 23431148
  11. The cell intrinsic factors that determine whether a neuron regenerates or undergoes apoptosis in response to axonal injury are not well defined. DLK is an essential upstream mediator of both of these divergent outcomes in the same cell type. PMID: 23431164
  12. These data demonstrate that DLK enhances regeneration by promoting a retrograde injury signal that is required for the activation of the neuronal proregenerative program. PMID: 22726832
  13. The mixed lineage kinase dual leucine zipper kinase (DLK) selectively regulates the JNK-based stress response pathway to mediate axon degeneration and neuronal apoptosis without influencing other aspects of JNK signaling. PMID: 21893599
  14. ZPK/DLK plays a critical role in naturally occurring programmed cell death of motoneurons. PMID: 21593306
  15. This study indicated that the DLK-JNK pathway facilitates axon formation in neocortical neurons via stage-specific regulation of microtubule stability. PMID: 21525288
  16. Hepatic progenitors from DLK+ hepatocytes were maintained in long-term culture. PMID: 15572411
  17. This protein kinase is tightly associated with the microtubules of neurond in the embryonic nervous system. PMID: 15749080
  18. Hsp70 contributes to the regulation of activated DLK by promoting its CHIP-dependent proteasomal degradation PMID: 16931512
  19. These data suggest that DLK plays a significant role in the coordinated regulation of radial migration and axon projection by modulating JNK activity. PMID: 17108173
  20. Activation of Map3k12 and induction of beta-cell apoptosis by the immunosuppressive drug cyclosporin A is reported. PMID: 18042735
  21. Src-dependent tyrosine phosphorylation of endogenous DLK may be important for regulation of its activity. DLK may have a role in PDGF signaling. PMID: 19146952
  22. These results indicate that ZPK/DLK is involved in regenerative responses of mammalian dorsal root ganglion neurons to axonal injury through activation of c-JUN. PMID: 19358824
