Form
Liquid or Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer
If the delivery form is liquid, the default storage buffer is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 5%-50% glycerol. If the delivery form is lyophilized powder, the buffer before lyophilization is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0.
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4℃ for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Promotes neurite outgrowth and especially branching of neuritic processes in primary hippocampal and cortical cells.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Following cerebral ischemia there is an increase in cpg15 expression in hippocampal astrocytes. PMID: 28069924
  2. Ca(2+)/calcineurin (CaN)/nuclear factor of activated T-cells (NFAT) c4 axis is required for neuritin-induced Kv4.2 transcriptional expression and potentiation of IA densities in cerebellum granule neurons. PMID: 27307045
  3. Neuritin prevents extremely low-frequency electromagnetic fields-exposure-induced memory deficit by increasing the hippocampal spine density. PMID: 26138388
  4. Neuritin can normalize neural deficits of Alzheimer's disease. PMID: 25393479
  5. Neuritin restors the reduction in dendritic spine density and the maturity of individual spines in primary hippocampal neuron cultures from a Alzheimer disease mouse model. PMID: 25101829
  6. Activity-dependent development of the visual system requires synapse stabilization and maturation via CPG15. PMID: 24599452
  7. CPG15 acts to stabilize active synapses on dendritic spines, resulting in selective spine and arbor stabilization and synaptic maturation, and that synapse stabilization mediated by CPG15 is critical for efficient learning PMID: 22190461
  8. Data show that SMN and HuD form a complex in spinal motor axons, and that both interact with cpg15 mRNA in neurons. PMID: 21652774
  9. Cpg15 is an immediate-early gene induced by Ca(2+) influx through NMDA receptors and L-type voltage-sensitive calcium channels. It requires convergent activation of the CaM kinase and MAP kinase pathways. PMID: 14664806
  10. Regulation of cpg15 expression during single whisker experience in the barrel cortex of adult mice. PMID: 16010668
  11. Data show that neuritin expression is well correlated to the maturation of hepatocytes and can be a useful tool to define the differentiation stage of hepatocytes. PMID: 16081067
  12. CPG15 may function as a new factor required in re-establishment of neuronal network after the injury. PMID: 17439354
  13. CPG15 and CPG15-2 perform similar cellular functions but may play distinct roles in vivo through their cell-type- and tissue-specific transcriptional regulation PMID: 18265009
