Form
Liquid or Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer
If the delivery form is liquid, the default storage buffer is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 5%-50% glycerol. If the delivery form is lyophilized powder, the buffer before lyophilization is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0.
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
3-7 business days
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4℃ for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Bactericidal C-type lectin which acts against several intestinal Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Lacks antibacterial activity against S.typhimurium. May play a role in protection against infection with S.enteritidis by inhibiting its translocation from the gut lumen into intestinal tissues and further extraintestinal tissues.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Reg3beta is a prognostic biomarker for acute coronary syndrome and is strongly associated with the intensity of cardiac inflammation. PMID: 29544958
  2. The pancreas reacts to remote lesions and septic insults in mice and rats with increased PSP synthesis, while PAP is selectively responsive to septic events. Furthermore, our results suggest that serum PSP in septic patients is predominantly derived through an acute phase response of the pancreas. PMID: 28415799
  3. BMI1 and MEL18 contribute to the development of colitis-associated cancer in mice by promoting proliferation and reducing apoptosis via suppressing expression of Reg3b. REG3B negatively regulates cytokine-induced activation of STAT3 in colon epithelial cells. PMID: 28780076
  4. Intestinal deficiency in REG3B or REG3G increases numbers of mucosa-associated bacteria and enhances bacterial translocation to the mesenteric lymph nodes and liver. PMID: 26867181
  5. our findings reveal a dual and contextual pathophysiologic role for REG3beta during pancreatitis and pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma initiation PMID: 26404002
  6. our findings unveil a new metabolic role for Reg3beta in protein nitration and a new biosynthesis control of GPX1 by a completely "unrelated" regenerating protein, Reg3beta, via transcriptional activation of Scly PMID: 23811004
  7. Reg3beta-dependent accumulation of macrophages in the ischemic heart has a role in myocardial healing PMID: 25751817
  8. High Reg3B expression is associated with pancreatic tumor growth. PMID: 23867474
  9. Direct stimulation of Reg2 and Reg3beta genes by glucocorticoids. PMID: 23147030
  10. Pancreatic STAT3 is indispensable for PAP1 production. PMID: 23064197
  11. Expression of Reg3 proteins and Ang4 by goblet cells point to an important role for goblet cells in innate defense. PMID: 22723890
  12. Reg-IIIbeta is expressed in specific subsets of primary sensory neurons and motor neurons; expression is transient during the embryonic and perinatal periods. PMID: 21681751
  13. Reg3b plays a protective role against intestinal translocation of the gram-negative bacterium Salmonella enteritidis in mice but not against the gram-positive bacterium Listeria monocytogenes. PMID: 22252863
  14. RegIIIbeta production by the host can promote S. Typhimurium infection by eliminating inhibitory gut microbiota. PMID: 21694778
  15. Reg2, Reg3alpha, and Reg3beta were abundantly expressed in most acinar cells of the pancreas with clear age-dependent and isoform-specific patterns. PMID: 21410322
  16. These data are consistent with a pleiotropic role for INGAP and reveal new pathways to target in the discovery of improved diabetic therapies PMID: 21187123
  17. Reg3beta is unlikely an islet growth factor but a putative protector that prevents streptozotocin-induced damage by inducing the expression of specific genes. PMID: 21245462
  18. the expression of the anti-inflammatory protein pancreatitis-associated protein I is enhanced by p8 PMID: 14660681
  19. Deletion of the mouse RegIIIbeta (Reg2) gene disrupts ciliary neurotrophic factor signaling and delays myelination of mouse cranial motor neurons PMID: 18678917
