Form
Liquid or Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer
If the delivery form is liquid, the default storage buffer is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 5%-50% glycerol. If the delivery form is lyophilized powder, the buffer before lyophilization is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0.
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Description

Recombinant Pongo abelii 2,3-cyclic-nucleotide 3-phosphodiesterase (CNP) is produced in E. coli, and the expression construct encodes the full-length mature Pongo abelii CNP protein comprising amino acids 1 to 418 and a 10xHis-tag at the N-terminus and a Myc-tag at the C-terminus. The two tags are helpful in recombinant CNP protein purification and detection. Through SDS-PAGE analysis, the purity of the recombinant Pongo abelii CNP protein is determined to be over 90%, appearing as a band with an approximate molecular weight of 55 kDa on the gel. This purified recombinant CNP protein is valuable for CNP-related neuroscience studies, enabling researchers to investigate the role and function of CNP in the context of neuronal processes.

CNP is primarily found in the myelin sheath of the central nervous system, where it participates in myelin formation and maintenance. It is essential for the proper development and function of oligodendrocytes, the cells responsible for producing myelin. CNP is also involved in promoting myelin compaction and stability and regulation of signaling pathways in the nervous system.
