Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Necessary for signaling by class 3 semaphorins and subsequent remodeling of the cytoskeleton. Plays a role in axon guidance, neuronal growth cone collapse and cell migration.
Gene References into Functions
  1. The results of this study suggest that CRMP4 is involved in dendritic development via the interaction with actin cytoskeleton in hippocampal neurons. PMID: 27339813
  2. The results of this study suggested that knockdown of Dpysl3 can inhibit activation, migration and phagocytic capability of microglia and consequently reduce neuroinflammation. PMID: 23988434
  3. CRMP4 may be a target gene for CNTF in the regenerative axon growth of DRG neurons after injury. PMID: 20800647
  4. In neonatal rat brain, interacts with chondroitin sulfate and other glycosaminoglycans PMID: 12444086
  5. TUC-4b can regulate neurite extension and branching through a mechanism that may involve membrane transport in the growth cone PMID: 12684468
  6. TOAD-64 has been identified as a neural cell adhesion molecule (NCAM) isoform 180-specific interacting protein in rat brain cytosol. PMID: 15865439
  7. CRMP-4 promotes bundling of F-actin in vitro, it is an important component of rib-like actin bundles in lamellipodia in vivo and it functionally regulates the actin cytoskeleton in motile cells. PMID: 16181627
  8. Changes in Ca(2+) homeostasis resulting from ROS-dependent activation of L-VGCC are sufficient to induce calpain-mediated DPYSL3 truncation and lead to glutamate-induced calpain. PMID: 16987501
  9. present study shows for the first time that DPYSL3 co-localizes with GAP43 in primary cortical neurons. PMID: 17845802
  10. In summary, the obtained data show the contribution of PLA(2) signaling to NMDA-induced calpain activation and subsequent degradation of synaptic protein DPYSL3. PMID: 18053648

Subcellular Location
Cytoplasm. Cell projection, growth cone.
Protein Families
Metallo-dependent hydrolases superfamily, Hydantoinase/dihydropyrimidinase family
Tissue Specificity
Isoform 2 is expressed in growth cones. Up-regulated in motor neurons during axonal regeneration after sciatic nerve lesion. Overexpression of isoform 2 increased neurite extension and branching. Isoform 1 is expressed throughout neurons and their axons.
