Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose.
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Involved in the targeting and/or fusion of transport vesicles to their target membrane.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Our study uncovers the postsynaptic function of the SNAP25-VAMP1-syntaxin4 complex in mediating the constitutive exocytosis of NMDA receptors, suggesting that this SNARE complex is involved in excitatory synaptic transmission PMID: 27791016
  2. differential sorting of the rat v-SNARE splice isoforms VAMP-1a and -1b PMID: 28314111
  3. residue 48 of VAMP1 varies frequently between M and I across seventeen closely related primate species, suggesting a potential selective pressure from members of BoNTs for resistance in vertebrates. PMID: 25010769
  4. syntaxin 1 and vesicle-associated membrane protein 1 are more suitable targets to abolish functional soluble N-ethylmaleimide-sensitive factor attachment protein receptor complexes PMID: 24604356
  5. distribution of SNAP25, VAMP1 and VAMP2 in adult deep cerebellar nuclei differs significantly from that found in newborn DCN and administration of E2 in the newborn DCN affected synaptic density and also changed their distribution PMID: 24534378
  6. The results of this study provided the first evidence showing the dual role of SNAP25 and synaptobrevin in both exocytosis and slow endocytosis at conventional synapses. PMID: 23699527
  7. multiple domains outside the R-SNARE of tomosyn are critical to the efficacy of inhibition by tomosyn on exocytotic secretion PMID: 21330375
  8. Syntaxin-4 and VAMP-1 and VAMP-2 regulate cardiac myocyte exocytosis of ANP. PMID: 20801128
  9. the trigger site in synaptobrevin is crucial for productive SNARE zippering PMID: 20406821
  10. Data report the structure and the assembling behavior of VAMP1 incorporated in a lipid monolayer at an air-water interface which mimics the membrane environment, and show that the structure of VAMP1 is clearly controlled by protein-lipid interactions. PMID: 20085749
  11. VAMP1 mRNA is transiently decreased during nerve regeneration of the facial motor nucleus after axotomy. PMID: 12191731
  12. vesicle-associated membrane protein 1 is involved in secretion of polypeptides from the choroid plexus epithelium. PMID: 12559091
  13. is the main isoform in particular brain areas (e.g. zona incerta at the subthalamus or nerve terminals surrounding thalamic neurons) PMID: 16169186
  14. Treatment with botulinum neurotoxins A and B strongly reduced somatodendritic dopamine release, thus demonstrating the requirement for SNARE proteins SNAP-25 and synaptobrevin. PMID: 16539689
  15. Data show that synaptobrevin in proteoliposomes as well as in purified synaptic vesicles is constitutively active. PMID: 17360966
  16. CGRP was found to occur in the majority of neurons from rat trigeminal ganglia, together with the three exocytotic SNAREs [SNAP25, syntaxin 1 and the synaptobrevin (Sbr, also known as VAMP) isoforms] and synaptotagmin. PMID: 17666428
  17. Several species of Vamp1 were amplified from a brain cDNA library including a full length clone of Vamp1as and a novel splice variant we termed Vamp1nv that was expressed in each of the cochlear nucleus subdivisions. PMID: 18655825
