Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Storage Condition

Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Shelf Life

The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.

Target Background

Function

Component of the RAVE complex, which is required for stable assembly of the vacuolar ATPase complex V-ATPase under many conditions. Required for transport between the early endosome and the late endosome/prevacuolar compartment (PVC), suggesting that assembly of vacuolar ATPase at the early endosome is required for transport from the early endosome to the PVC.

Rav1p interacts directly with the N-terminal domain of Vph1p. PMID: 24307682
Soi3/Rav1p is required for transport between the early endosome and the late endosome/prevacuolar compartment. PMID: 15090613
Skp1p is important for the release of Rav1p from endosomal membranes where it functions in V-ATPase assembly. PMID: 17041187
