Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Involved in glucose repression of the SUC, GAL and MAL genes as well as of the CAT8 gene. Binds to two sites in the upstream region of SUC2.
Gene References into Functions
  1. results showed that glucose repression was partly alleviated; i.e., ethanol, as a significant fermentation marker, and acetate productions were respectively decreased by 14.13% and 43.71% compared to the wild type. In DeltaMIG1 strain, the metabolic shifting on the aerobic pathway and a significant increase in pyruvate and glycerol production suggested it as an optimally productive industrial yeast strain. PMID: 29921394
  2. The authors find that the repressor operates in clusters, which upon extracellular signal detection, translocate from the cytoplasm, bind to nuclear targets and turnover. PMID: 28841133
  3. study reports that Mig1 is dephosphorylated by Glc7-Reg1 in an apparently glucose-dependent mechanism but also by a mechanism independent of glucose and Glc7-Reg1 PMID: 28854669
  4. with decreasing levels of post-shift glucose, the transient response of Mig1 tend to be faster, more extended, and displays an increased cell-to-cell variability PMID: 25893847
  5. The impact of Mig1p on two well-known glucose-repression systems, SUC2 and GAL gene expression systems is reported. PMID: 15698380
  6. Mig1 expressed in yeast binds to SUC2 B; sucrose gradient sedimentation resolved a larger molecular weight form of Mig1 in whole-cell extracts that was not seen in purified samples and may represent a complex with another protein PMID: 17133623
  7. Upon derepression all three subunits (alpha, beta, and gamma) of the positively acting Snf1 kinase complex localize to the nuclear periphery, resulting in phosphorylation of Mig1 and its export to the cytoplasm. PMID: 17237508
  8. The presence of normal levels of MIG1 mRNA in the mutant and its association with the polysome fraction suggests that depletion of Mig1p is the result of protein degradation PMID: 18022394
  9. Hap4, Cat8 and Mig1 activities are not affected by different glucose concentrations in this respirator y yeast strain. PMID: 18671860
  10. gene expression by the yeast repressor Mig1 PMID: 19087243
