Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose.
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Bifunctional inositol kinase that acts in concert with the IP6K kinases to synthesize the diphosphate group-containing inositol pyrophosphates diphosphoinositol pentakisphosphate, PP-InsP5, and bis-diphosphoinositol tetrakisphosphate, (PP)2-InsP4. Phosphorylates inositol hexakisphosphate (InsP6) at positions 1 or 3 to produce PP-InsP5 which is in turn phosphorylated by IP6Ks to produce (PP)2-InsP4. Alternatively, phosphorylates at position 1 or 3 PP-InsP5, produced by IP6Ks from InsP6, to produce (PP)2-InsP4. Required for maintaining cellular integrity, normal growth and interactions with the ARP complex. Acts as a regulator of the PHO80-PHO85 cyclin/cyclin-dependent kinase (CDK) complex, thereby regulating signaling of phosphate availability. Required for the function of the cortical actin cytoskeleton, possibly by participating in correct F-actin localization and ensuring polarized growth. Regulates polarized growth and modulates interphase microtubule cytoskeleton. Regulates microtubule dynamics without the requirement of microtubule plus-end tracking protein Mal3. Required for growth zone selection.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Study provides evidence that Asp1 kinase function is needed for the execution of all three stages of mitosis and controls bipolar spindle stability, chromosome biorientation, and the fidelity of chromosome transmission in Schizosaccharomyces pombe. PMID: 27697865
  2. Biochemical and mutagenic studies demonstrated that the [2Fe-2S](2+) cluster substantially inhibits the phosphatase activity of Asp1, thereby increasing its net kinase activity. PMID: 26422458
  3. Translin binds the pre-mRNA-splicing factor srp1 and vip1, a protein conserved in fungi. PMID: 24382491
  4. Data show that the S. pombe Asp1 protein, a member of the conserved Vip1 1/3 inositol polyphosphate kinase family, is a key regulator of the morphological switch via the cAMP protein kinase A (PKA) pathway. PMID: 20624911
  5. Vip1 and Asp1 acted as enzymes that encode inositol hexakisphosphate (IP6) and inositol heptakisphosphate (IP7) kinase activities; the functionality of Asp1 and Vip1 may provide cells with increased signaling capacity through metabolism of IP6 PMID: 17412958
