Form
Liquid or Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer
If the delivery form is liquid, the default storage buffer is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 5%-50% glycerol.
Note: If you have any special requirement for the glycerol content, please remark when you place the order.
If the delivery form is lyophilized powder, the buffer before lyophilization is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Basically, we can dispatch the products out in 1-3 working days after receiving your orders. Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.

Target Background

Function
Ligand-gated chloride channel which is a component of the heteropentameric receptor for GABA, the major inhibitory neurotransmitter in the brain. Plays an important role in the formation of functional inhibitory GABAergic synapses in addition to mediating synaptic inhibition as a GABA- gated ion channel. The gamma2 subunit is necessary but not sufficient for a rapid formation of active synaptic contacts and the synaptogenic effect of this subunit is influenced by the type of alpha and beta subunits present in the receptor pentamer. The alpha1/beta3/gamma2 receptor exhibits synatogenic activity whereas the alpha2/beta3/gamma2 receptor shows very little or no synaptogenic activity. Functions also as histamine receptor and mediates cellular responses to histamine. Plays an important role in somatosensation and in the production of antinociception.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Computational docking analysis supports the existence of a histamine binding site at the interface of homooligomeric Beta3 GABA A receptors. PMID: 27140694
  2. The data of this study reveal that GABAA receptor beta2 and beta3 decrease following 1 h of acute restraint stress and may play a critical role in stress-induced hyperalgesia. PMID: 24992900
  3. Both the Beta3 and delta containing GABA receptors have a unique ethanol binding site at the alpha4/6+Beta3-subunit interface. PMID: 24500446
  4. These studies identify a novel gephyrin-binding motif in GABA(A) R beta2 and beta3 large cytoplasmic loops. PMID: 23205938
  5. GABA-A alpha2 and beta3 receptor subunits are present in bone marrow, adipose tissue and adult stem cells and are upregulated following glial differentiation. PMID: 22215379
  6. The endogenous sleep pathway in the hypothalamus operates through the beta1- containing GABAAR whereas inhibition of neuronal firing (anaesthesia) by low propofol doses relies on beta3- containing GABAAR. PMID: 21735059
  7. Under conditions of oxygen-glucose deprivation that mimic cerebral ischemia, GABRB3 receptors are depleted from synapses in dendrites, depending on the three arginine residues motif. PMID: 22396422
  8. early continuous noise rearing decreases the expression levels of GluR2 and GABAA3 and significantly decreased the level of GABAARs relative to AMPARs; these receptors could be involved in the mechanisms responsible for A1 changes after noise rearing PMID: 19774669
  9. conclude that receptors can accumulate in slowly equilibrating desensitized states during repetitive receptor activation; results may indicate role for slow phases of desensitization for synaptic function under conditions of repeated receptor activation PMID: 12356876
  10. during synaptic maturation GABAAR gamma2 and beta3 subunits are able to associate with synaptic and extrasynaptic clusters of gephyrin; data are compatible with a role of gephyrin in GABAAR synaptic stabilization rather than in clusters formation PMID: 12812758
  11. Low pH enhances Gaba A beta 3 receptor steady-state currents by modifying GABA(A) receptor gating properties. PMID: 15152020
  12. The variant of beta3 subunit of GABA(A) receptor, designated as beta3t, is found in germ cells of rat testis and sperm. PMID: 15474980
  13. Phospho-dependent regulation of AP2 binding to GABA(A)Rs provides a mechanism to specify receptor cell surface number and the efficacy of inhibitory synaptic transmission. PMID: 16192353
  14. Tonic activation of GABA-A receptors in developing hippocampus enhances glutamergic cell excitability and synaptic activity. PMID: 17317750
  15. There is no loss of GABAergic boutons from the denervated area after SNI (neuronal death does not occur in this model) and there is no depletion of GABA or GABA(A) receptors at GABAergic synapses within this region. PMID: 18675320
  16. the density of surface clusters of GABA(A)R beta2/3 subunits was reduced by D(4), suggesting that the D(4) reduction of GABA(A)R current is associated with a decrease in functional GABA(A)Rs at the plasma membrane. PMID: 19179335
  17. Data show that regulating the efficacy of synaptic inhibition by modulating GABA(A)R membrane trafficking may play a critical role in regulating spine maturity with significant implications for synaptic plasticity together with behavior. PMID: 19617557
