The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor 488-congugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L). Immunofluorescence staining of U251 cell with 5% goat serum, counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4C. The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor 488-congugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L).

Description

CUSABIO immunizes the rabbit with a peptide corresponding to amino acids 1-147 of the human PLGRKT protein to yield the anti-PLGRKT antibody. The PLGRKT antibody exists as an unconjugated IgG isotype. Its purity is greater than 95% using protein G purified. This PLGRKT antibody can recognize the PLGRKT protein in ELISA, WB, IHC, and IF applications and shows reactivity with human and mouse samples. Its target protein PLGRKT is a transmembrane plasminogen receptor that promotes plasminogen activation to plasmin by plasminogen activators on cell surfaces and acts as a modulator involved in different phases of cutaneous burn wound healing through its effects in the interrelated responses of inflammation, keratinocyte migration, and fibrinolysis.

Function

Receptor for plasminogen. Regulates urokinase plasminogen activator-dependent and stimulates tissue-type plasminogen activator-dependent cell surface plasminogen activation. Proposed to be part of a local catecholaminergic cell plasminogen activation system that regulates neuroendocrine prohormone processing. Involved in regulation of inflammatory response; regulates monocyte chemotactic migration and matrix metalloproteinase activation, such as of MMP2 and MMP9.
