Target Background

Function

GTPase-activating protein (GAP) for ADP ribosylation factor (ARF). Activates ARF1 and ARF2. Required for female gametophyte development. Involved in root hair and pollen tube growth.

The findings support a model in which IDN2 interacts with RPA and facilitates the release of RPA from single-stranded DNA tails and subsequent recruitment of RAD51 at DSB sites to promote DSB repair. PMID: 28223440
