Description

The CRTI polyclonal antibody is produced by injecting the recombinant Pantoea ananas (Erwinia uredovora) CRTI protein into a rabbit, which triggers the production of antibodies that specifically target this antigen. To increase antibody production, a booster injection is administered. The CRTI polyclonal antibodies are collected and purified from the rabbit's serum using protein A/G. Through rigorous testing in ELISA and WB assays, it has been confirmed that the CRTI antibody specifically recognizes Pantoea ananas (Erwinia uredovora) CRTI protein.

The Pantoea ananas (Erwinia uredovora) CRTI protein mainly catalyzes the conversion of the compound geranylgeranyl diphosphate (GGPP) into the compound carotenoid phytoene. This enzymatic reaction is a critical step in the biosynthesis of carotenoids, which are pigments found in various organisms, including plants and bacteria. Carotenoids play important roles in photosynthesis, photoprotection, and as antioxidants.
