Matrix protein.; Binds strongly to viral nucleic acids and promotes their aggregation. Also destabilizes the nucleic acids duplexes via highly structured zinc-binding motifs.; Capsid protein.

The crystal structure of N-myristoylated matrix protein, determined at 1.57 A resolution, revealed that the myristoyl groups are buried in a hydrophobic pocket at the dimer interface and contribute to dimer formation. PMID: 26728401
