Description

The generation of the IAA6 polyclonal antibody begins by using a recombinant Arabidopsis thaliana IAA6 protein segment (encompassing amino acids 46-91) as the immunogen to induce an antibody response in a rabbit. Serum drawn from the rabbit contains polyclonal antibodies, which are subsequently purified using affinity chromatography. The functionality of the IAA6 antibody is established through ELISA and WB assays, affirming its proficiency in detecting Arabidopsis thaliana IAA6 protein in experimental settings.

The main function of Arabidopsis thaliana IAA6 protein, also known as IAA6, is to regulate plant growth and development in response to auxin, which is a plant hormone. IAA6 is a transcriptional repressor that controls the expression of various genes involved in auxin signaling and response. It is involved in processes such as root development, lateral root formation, and leaf expansion. Additionally, IAA6 also plays a role in the regulation of plant responses to environmental stimuli such as light and temperature.

Target Background

Function
Aux/IAA proteins are short-lived transcriptional factors that function as repressors of early auxin response genes at low auxin concentrations. Repression is thought to result from the interaction with auxin response factors (ARFs), proteins that bind to the auxin-responsive promoter element (AuxRE). Formation of heterodimers with ARF proteins may alter their ability to modulate early auxin response genes expression.

Nucleus.
Protein Families

Tissue Specificity
Highly expressed in stems and flowers.
