Description

In the generation of the MTB polyclonal antibody, a rabbit is immunized with a recombinant Arabidopsis thaliana MTB protein (amino acids 551-775) to trigger an antibody response. After several repeated immunizations, the rabbit serum is collected and purified to obtain polyclonal antibodies against MTB. The MTB antibody is purified using affinity chromatography. The proficiency of the MTB antibody in detecting the Arabidopsis thaliana MTB protein is evaluated through ELISA and WB assays, confirming its suitability for experimental use.

Probable non-catalytic subunit of the N6-methyltransferase complex, a multiprotein complex that mediates N6-methyladenosine (m6A) methylation at the 5'-[AG]GAC-3' consensus sites of some mRNAs. Associates with MTA, FIP37, VIR and HAKAI to form the m6A writer complex which is essential for adenosine methylation at specific mRNA sequences. N6-methyladenosine (m6A) plays a role in mRNA stability, processing, translation efficiency and editing.
