The PNCC antibody is produced by immunizing a rabbit with the recombinant Escherichia coli (strain K12) PNCC protein. It is then purified using protein A/G affinity chromatography. This specific PNCC antibody is suitable for detecting the presence of the Escherichia coli (strain K12) PNCC protein in ELISA and WB experiments.
The Escherichia coli (strain K12) PNCC protein mainly catalyzes the ATP-dependent conversion of phosphoribosylamine and glycine to phosphoribosylglycineamide, which is an intermediate in the de novo purine biosynthesis pathway. This enzyme is essential for the production of purine nucleotides, which are important building blocks of DNA and RNA.
