Target Background

Function
The elongation of primed DNA templates by DNA polymerase delta and epsilon requires the action of the accessory proteins proliferating cell nuclear antigen (PCNA) and activator 1. This subunit binds to the primer-template junction.
Gene References into Functions
  1. This paper demonstrated that a putative glycosyltransferase (Gtf2), which is essential for Fap1 glycosylation, readily copurified with another glycosyltransferase (Gtf1) from native S. parasanguinis. PMID: 20971868
  2. Results indicate that the DNA replication-related element factor (DREF protein) positively regulates the rfc1 promoter. PMID: 17381512
Subcellular Location
Nucleus.
