Description

A rabbit immunized with the recombinant Saccharomyces cerevisiae (strain ATCC 204508 / S288c) (Baker's yeast) SWD2 protein generates antibodies against the SWD2 protein. After an adequate antibody response is generated, a rabbit serum sample is obtained to acquire polyclonal antibodies. The SWD2 antibody is then subjected to protein A/G affinity chromatography purification. The effectiveness of the SWD2 antibody is assessed through ELISA and WB applications. This particular SWD2 antibody can detect the Saccharomyces cerevisiae (strain ATCC 204508 / S288c) (Baker's yeast) SWD2 protein.

The Saccharomyces cerevisiae SWD2 protein is essential for the integrity and activity of the SAGA complex, facilitating its recruitment to gene promoters and enabling the complex to carry out its functions in transcriptional regulation. The SAGA complex is a multi-subunit protein complex involved in gene regulation and chromatin remodeling.
