An immune response is induced in a rabbit injected with the recombinant Saccharomyces cerevisiae (strain ATCC 204508 / S288c) (Baker's yeast) TFC4 protein. Antibodies against the TFC4 protein are generated by the rabbit's immune system over time. After a sufficient antibody response is produced, a rabbit serum sample is collected to obtain polyclonal antibodies. The TFC4 antibody undergoes protein A/G affinity chromatography purification. The effectiveness of the TFC4 antibody is assessed in ELISA and WB applications. This specific TFC4 antibody can react with the Saccharomyces cerevisiae (strain ATCC 204508 / S288c) (Baker's yeast) TFC4 protein.
The Saccharomyces cerevisiae TFC4 protein helps in the assembly and stability of the TFIIIC complex, allowing it to bind to specific DNA sequences and recruit RNA polymerase III for transcription. TFIIIC is involved in the initiation of transcription by RNA polymerase III, which is responsible for transcribing genes involved in the production of various types of RNA molecules such as tRNA and rRNA.
