The rabbit is injected with the recombinant Acyrthosiphon pisum secondary endosymbiont phage 1 (Bacteriophage APSE-1) VP39 protein, leading to the production of antibodies against the VP39 protein. Once enough antibodies have been generated, a serum sample is collected to obtain polyclonal antibodies. The collected serum, which contains the VP39 antibody, is then subjected to protein A/G affinity chromatography. The effectiveness of the VP39 antibody is assessed in ELISA and WB applications. This antibody specifically recognizes the Acyrthosiphon pisum secondary endosymbiont phage 1 (Bacteriophage APSE-1) VP39 protein. Bacteriophage APSE-1 is a type of virus that infects the secondary endosymbiont of the pea aphid, Acyrthosiphon pisum. The VP39 protein is likely involved in the viral replication process.
