Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of hamster IL-6 in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

Interleukin 6 (IL-6) is a multifunctional cytokine that plays essential roles in immune responses, inflammation, and hematopoiesis. This pleiotropic protein regulates acute-phase responses, promotes B-cell differentiation and antibody production, and influences T-cell activation. IL-6 also functions in metabolic processes and tissue repair mechanisms. Dysregulated IL-6 expression is associated with various pathological conditions. This makes it an important biomarker for inflammatory diseases, autoimmune disorders, and certain malignancies. Its diverse biological activities have made IL-6 a key research target for understanding immune system function and developing therapeutic interventions.
The Hamster Interleukin 6,IL-6 ELISA Kit (CSB-E14304Ha) is designed for quantitative measurement of IL-6 in Mesocricetus auratus samples. This sandwich ELISA works with serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, and tissue homogenates. Detection range spans 7.8 pg/mL to 500 pg/mL with sensitivity of 1.95 pg/mL. The assay requires 50-100 μL sample volume and can be completed within 1-5 hours. Detection occurs at 450 nm wavelength, providing researchers with a reliable tool for IL-6 quantification in golden hamster studies.

This ELISA kit has been used in research investigating inflammatory responses and cytokine profiling in hamster models. Studies have applied the kit to measure interleukin-6 levels in various biological samples including serum and tissue homogenates. The applications span infectious disease research and immunological studies examining cytokine production patterns.
• Infectious disease research: Measurement of IL-6 levels in serum samples from hamsters infected with different viral strains to assess inflammatory responses compared to non-infected controls
• Respiratory immunology: Quantification of IL-6 concentrations in lung tissue homogenates as part of comprehensive cytokine profiling studies
• Cellular immunology: Analysis of IL-6 production in bone marrow-derived dendritic cell culture supernatants alongside other inflammatory mediators
• Comparative cytokine profiling: Integration with other cytokine measurements to evaluate comprehensive inflammatory response patterns in experimental models
