Precision

Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%

Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.

Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%

Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.

Linearity

To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of human Col Ⅰ in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

Description

This ELISA kit provides quantitative measurement of Type I Collagen (Col Ⅰ) in human samples, supporting research into extracellular matrix remodeling and fibrotic signaling pathways. Because Col Ⅰ fragments are released into circulation and body fluids at concentrations that shift dramatically between healthy and fibrotic states, researchers need an assay calibrated to capture both baseline and disease-elevated levels across diverse biological matrices.

Detection Range: The 0.24–15 ng/mL range spans the concentrations of Col Ⅰ propeptide fragments typically found in human serum and plasma, from normal turnover levels to the elevated values seen in hepatic or pulmonary fibrosis. Highly fibrotic or concentrated tissue homogenates may require dilution before measurement.

Sensitivity: At 0.12 ng/mL, the kit detects low-level collagen release from primary fibroblast or hepatic stellate cell cultures, where early pro-fibrotic stimulation produces subtle changes in Col Ⅰ secretion.

Sample Compatibility: Validation across serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, saliva, and tissue homogenates enables researchers to correlate circulating Col Ⅰ biomarker levels with local tissue deposition and in vitro cellular secretion within a single study framework.

Assay Efficiency: The 1–5 hour protocol and 50–100 µL sample volume accommodate limited biopsy-derived homogenates and small-volume conditioned media from primary cell experiments.

This kit is well-suited for studies in organ fibrosis progression, wound healing dynamics, and osteoporosis-related bone matrix turnover.
