Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of human FTL in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

This ELISA kit provides quantitative measurement of Ferritin Light Chain (FTL) in human samples, supporting research into iron storage, metabolism, and ferritin assembly. Because FTL circulating levels span a broad dynamic range — from low picogram levels in iron-deficient states to elevated concentrations in inflammatory or iron-overload conditions — this kit is designed to capture biologically meaningful differences across diverse experimental models.
Detection Range: The 15.6–1000 pg/mL range accommodates the low baseline FTL concentrations found in cell culture supernates and captures elevated levels seen in serum or plasma from iron-overload or inflammatory conditions, though samples from hemochromatosis or macrophage activation models may require dilution.
Sensitivity: At 7.8 pg/mL, the kit detects FTL in conditioned media from hepatocytes or macrophages under basal culture conditions, where secreted ferritin levels can be minimal prior to iron or cytokine stimulation.
Sample Compatibility: Validation across serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, and tissue homogenates enables researchers to correlate circulating FTL with intracellular ferritin pools in matched tissue or cell lysate samples — critical for dissecting iron sequestration dynamics at systemic and cellular levels.
Assay Efficiency: The 1–5 hour protocol and 50–100 µL sample volume accommodate limited-volume primary hepatocyte or monocyte-derived macrophage cultures without pooling.
This kit is well-suited for studies of hereditary hyperferritinemia-cataract syndrome, iron-deficiency anemia, and inflammation-driven ferritin dysregulation.
