Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
Linearity
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of human FB in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

Description

Fibrinogen is a soluble plasma glycoprotein that plays a central role in hemostasis and blood coagulation. During the coagulation cascade, thrombin converts fibrinogen to fibrin, forming the structural framework of blood clots. Beyond its hemostatic function, fibrinogen serves as an acute-phase reactant and inflammatory marker. Elevated levels are associated with cardiovascular disease, stroke, and various inflammatory conditions. Research into fibrinogen levels provides insights into coagulation disorders, cardiovascular risk assessment, and inflammatory processes.

The Human Fibrinogen ELISA Kit (CSB-E13656h) is designed for quantitative measurement of fibrinogen in human serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates. This sandwich-based assay offers a detection range of 0.312-20 μg/mL with a sensitivity of 0.078 μg/mL. The assay requires 50-100 μL sample volume and can be completed within 1-5 hours. Detection is performed at 450 nm wavelength.

Application Examples

Note: The following application examples are drawn from a selection of publications citing this product. For additional applications, please refer to the full list of references in the "Citations" section.

This ELISA kit has been used in research investigating complement system activation and neuroinflammation, as well as studies examining growth factors and coagulation proteins in human platelet lysate preparations. The kit allows quantitative measurement of fibrinogen levels in human plasma and processed biological samples to support various research applications.

Neuroinflammation research: Analysis of complement cascade components and inflammatory mediators in studies of viral infection models and brain tissue analysis
Platelet lysate characterization: Quantification of fibrinogen alongside growth factors in human platelet lysate preparations to evaluate coagulation protein content
Biomarker profiling: Measurement of fibrinogen levels in processed biological samples as part of multi-analyte panels examining coagulation and inflammatory pathways
Sample processing studies: Analysis of fibrinogen concentrations in freeze-dried human platelet lysate samples to assess protein stability and composition
