Precision
Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV%<8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV%<10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.

Linearity
To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of human MR-proANP in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

Description

Midregional pro-atrial natriuretic peptide (MR-proANP) is a stable fragment derived from the precursor of atrial natriuretic peptide, a hormone that cardiac atrial cells produce when blood volume and pressure increase. MR-proANP remains stable in circulation longer than the active ANP hormone. This makes it a valuable biomarker for cardiovascular assessment. Clinical researchers have focused on this peptide fragment because it can help diagnose heart failure, monitor cardiac function, and evaluate cardiovascular risk in different patient groups.

The Human midregional pro-atrial natriuretic peptide (MR-proANP) ELISA kit (CSB-EQ028056HU) uses a quantitative sandwich measurement principle to detect MR-proANP in human samples. This assay works with serum, plasma, and tissue homogenates. It has a detection range of 39 pmol/L to 2500 pmol/L and achieves a sensitivity of 9.8 pmol/L. The protocol needs 50-100 μL sample volume and takes 1-5 hours to complete, with detection at 450 nm wavelength.

 Q&A
Q:

I'm just wondering what the difference between MR-proANP and proANP or NT-proANP is. Do you know that?

A:

ANP is secreted by the atrium and secreted by the pro-form of proANP. MR-proANP and NT-proANP are 2 different parts. The peptide in the atrial natriuretic peptide precursor is MR-proANP. Atrial natriuretic peptide precursor N-terminal peptide is NT-proANP. MR is the middle peptide of proANP and NT is the amino (N) terminal peptide.
