This Mouse ALT/GPT ELISA Kit was designed for the quantitative measurement of Mouse ALT/GPT protein in serum, plasma, cell culture supernates, cell lysates. It is a Sandwich ELISA kit, its detection range is 0.156 mU/mL-10 mU/mL and the sensitivity is 0.039 mU/mL.

To assess the linearity of the assay, samples were spiked with high concentrations of mouse ALT in various matrices and diluted with the Sample Diluent to produce samples with values within the dynamic range of the assay.

Target Background

Catalyzes the reversible transamination between alanine and 2-oxoglutarate to form pyruvate and glutamate. Participates in cellular nitrogen metabolism and also in liver gluconeogenesis starting with precursors transported from skeletal muscles.
