The mouse angiopoietin-related protein 7 (ANGPTL7) ELISA Kit is used to quantitatively measure mouse ANGPTL7 concentrations in serum, plasma, or tissue homogenates. It performs well in important characteristics, including sensitivity and specificity. This assay is based on the sandwich ELISA mechanism and enzyme-substrate chromogenic reaction. The solution color develops proportionally to the amount of ANGPTL7 in the sample. And the intensity of the color can be measured at 450 nm via a microplate reader.
ANGPTL7, initially discovered in the stromal layer of the cornea, contributes to coordinating the trabecular meshwork's extracellular matrix and its response to steroids. Levels of ANGPTL7 has been shown to be increased in glaucoma and its overexpression elevates the collagen expression level. While ANGPTL7 induction by glucocorticoids led to the up-regulation of important glaucoma-related proteins including fibronectin, myocilin, and MMP1. ANGPTL7 overexpression has been detected in different human cancers. It exerts roles in various cancers through its interaction with the WNT/-beta-catenin signaling pathway.
