This Human DSG3 recombinant protein was produced in baculovirus, where the gene sequence encoding Human DSG3 (50-615aa) was expressed with the C-terminal 6xHis tag. The purity of this DSG3 protein was greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE. The activity was validated.

DSG3 (Desmoglein 3) is an autoantibody obtained from the serum of patients suffering from an autoimmune vesicle formation disease of the skin and mucous membranes—pemphigus vulgaris (PV). Immunoprecipitation, for the first time identified a glycoprotein with a molecular weight of 130 kDa, named PV antigen (PVA). DSG3 is closely related to dermatology and is the target of various autoimmune and some hereditary bullous diseases including pemphigus. More and more studies have shown that DSG3 may play an important role in the process of cell proliferation, apoptosis and migration. Therefore, DSG3 may be clinically relevant to the occurrence and development of squamous cell carcinoma. At present, the detection of serum anti-desmoglein DSG3 antibody has been used in the diagnosis of pemphigus, and plays a key role in the development of therapeutic candidate drugs and diagnostic kits for diseases such as pemphigus.
