Reconstitution

We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Storage Condition

Description

TFF1 drives epithelial cell migration and mucosal protection, making validated chemotactic activity essential for meaningful functional studies. This tag-free recombinant human TFF1, spanning the full mature protein (aa 25–84), demonstrates an ED50 below 10 μg/ml in MCF-7 chemotaxis bioassays, corresponding to a specific activity exceeding 100 IU/mg—providing a reliable positive control or stimulus for cell migration assays, wound healing scratch assays, and signal transduction studies in breast cancer models. Produced in *E. coli* to yield a properly folded trefoil domain without glycosylation heterogeneity, this protein achieves >97% purity by SDS-PAGE and endotoxin levels below 1.0 EU/μg, which satisfies the purity and endotoxin criteria typical for functional cell-based assays and co-culture experiments without confounding innate immune activation.
