  • IHC image of CSB-PA006905LA01HU diluted at 1:200 and staining in paraffin-embedded human brain tissue performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.

  • Immunofluorescence staining of A549 cells with CSB-PA006905LA01HU at 1:66, counter-stained with DAPI. The cells were fixed in 4% formaldehyde, permeabilized using 0.2% Triton X-100 and blocked in 10% normal Goat Serum. The cells were then incubated with the antibody overnight at 4°C. The secondary antibody was Alexa Fluor 488-congugated AffiniPure Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG(H+L).

Target Background

Function
Displays low GTPase activity and exists predominantly in the GTP-bound form.
Gene References into Functions
  1. This neuronal DIRAS1 gene with a proposed role in cholinergic transmission provides not only a candidate for human myoclonic epilepsy but also insights into the disease etiology, while establishing a spontaneous model for future intervention studies and functional characterization. PMID: 28223533
  2. Results show that DIRAS1 is frequently methylated in human colorectal cancer and the expression of DIRAS1 is silenced by promoter region methylation. PMID: 28491151
  3. DiRas1 expression inhibits malignant features of cancers in part by nonproductively binding to SmgGDS and inhibiting the binding of other small GTPases to SmgGDS PMID: 26814130
  4. DIRAS1 downregulation is associated with esophageal squamous cell carcinoma metastasis. PMID: 23436800
  5. a novel Ras-related protein and potential neural tumor suppressor (RIG) PMID: 12107278
