Target Background

Function
Force generating protein of respiratory cilia. Produces force towards the minus ends of microtubules. Dynein has ATPase activity.

  2. DNAL4 may play a role in the cytoplasmic dynein complex for netrin-1-directed retrograde transport, and in commissural neurons of the corpus callosum in particular. This could lead to faulty cross-brain wiring, resulting in Mirror movements (MRMV). PMID: 25098561
