Target Background

Function
Plasma membrane progesterone (P4) receptor coupled to G proteins. Seems to act through a G(i) mediated pathway. May be involved in oocyte maturation.

  2. Heterologous expression of MPRG in yeast confirms its ability to function as a membrane progesterone receptor. PMID: 18603275
