The SUB1635 polyclonal antibody is raised in the rabbit immunized with recombinant Streptococcus uberis (strain ATCC BAA-854 / 0140J) Putative membrane-anchored protein SUB1635 (811-821aa). This process triggers the production of specific antibodies within the rabbit's IgG-rich serum. Post-immunization, the SUB1635 antibody undergoes purification through protein G from rabbit serum. This SUB1635 antibody can react with Streptococcus uberis (strain ATCC BAA-854 / 0140J) SUB1635 protein. Its functionality is rigorously confirmed through ELISA and WB applications.
The SUAM protein SUB1635 from Streptococcus uberis (strain ATCC BAA-854 / 0140J) has an affinity for lactoferrin and plays a crucial role in the adherence of S. uberis to bovine mammary epithelial cells in vitro and therefore may be important during the initial stages of infection and colonization.
