Description

The cry1Bb polyclonal antibody is generated by immunizing a rabbit with recombinant Bacillus thuringiensis cry1Bb protein (390-655aa), stimulating the production of specific antibodies in the rabbit's serum. Afterward, the cry1Bb antibody is purified through protein G, resulting in a highly specific Bacillus thuringiensis cry1Bb protein antibody. It shows reactivity with human cry1Bb protein and is rigorously validated for its performance in ELISA and WB applications.

The Bacillus thuringiensis cry1Bb protein functions as a pesticide and is toxic to certain insect larvae, particularly those of various moth and butterfly species. The cry1Bb protein targets the insect's digestive system, where it binds to specific receptors on the gut lining. Upon binding, it forms pores in the insect's gut membrane, disrupting its integrity and causing cell lysis.
