Preparation of the rsad2 polyclonal antibody involves immunizing a rabbit with recombinant Oncorhynchus mykiss (Rainbow trout) (Salmo gairdneri) rsad2 protein (amino acids 1-348). To boost antibody production, a subsequent antigen injection is administered to the rabbit. Serum containing rsad2 polyclonal antibodies is collected and then purified via protein G. The rsad2 antibody's specificity for Oncorhynchus mykiss (Rainbow trout) (Salmo gairdneri) rsad2 protein has been extensively validated through ELISA and WB assays.
The Oncorhynchus mykiss (Rainbow trout) rsad2 protein, also known as Viperin, serves as an important component of the fish's innate immune system, defending against viral infections by inhibiting viral replication and contributing to the host's overall antiviral response.
