Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that mediates ubiquitination and subsequent proteasomal degradation of the transcription factor ICE1. Acts as a negative regulator of cold signaling pathways. Probably involved in recruiting the NUP107-160 subcomplex of the nuclear pore complex to chromatin (Probable). Controls flowering time in response to ambient temperatures (16 and 23 degrees Celsius) and intermittent cold, probably via the regulation of FT and TSF levels.
Gene References into Functions
  1. While HOS1 is known to act as an E3 ubiquitin ligase or a chromatin remodeling factor, data illustrate a novel role of HOS1: it acts as a component of phyB-mediated light signaling in hypocotyl photomorphogenesis. PMID: 28426369
  2. HOS1 is intimately linked with hypocotyl growth, in which HOS1 inhibits the transcriptional activation activity of PIF4 PMID: 27890635
  3. Red light-mediated degradation of CO protein by HOS1 ligase regulates photoperiodic flowering in Arabidopsis.HOS1 and PHYB regulate flowering time additively. PMID: 26373454
  4. HOS1 regulates miR168a/b and AGO1 levels in Arabidopsis by maintaining proper transcription of MIR168b. PMID: 25619693
  5. HOS1 regulates FLC transcription via chromatin remodeling. PMID: 24390058
  6. HOS1 is required for circadian periodicity through the promotion of nucleo-cytoplasmic mRNA export. PMID: 24254125
  7. HOS1 acts as a chromatin remodeling factor for FLC regulation under short-term cold stress. PMID: 24220632
  8. HOS1 acts as a common regulator in the signaling pathways that control flowering time in response to low ambient temperature. PMID: 22960247
  9. the HOS1-CO module contributes to the fine-tuning of photoperiodic flowering under short term temperature fluctuations, which often occur during local weather disturbances. PMID: 23135282
  10. HOS1-L transcripts were spatio-temporally more abundant than those of HOS1-S and the expression was affected by photoperiod. PMID: 23010172
  11. HOS1 is required to modulate precisely the timing of CO accumulation and that this regulation is essential to maintain low levels of FT during the first part of the day and, subsequently, a correct photoperiodic response in Arabidopsis. PMID: 22408073
  12. cold stress responses in Arabidopsis are attenuated by a ubiquitination/proteasome pathway in which HOS1 mediates the degradation of the ICE1 protein PMID: 16702557
