Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose.
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
May modulate the level of one or more small signaling molecules that have a role in regulating meristem function. May play a role in balancing and restricting the meristem-promoting activity of auxin signaling. Involved in ethylene and giberellin (GA) signaling pathways or in a parallel pathway controlling cell and hypocotyl elongation and cellular organization. Involved in abscisic acid (ABA) signaling pathway. Plays a negative role in ABA-mediated seed germination and seedling development. Acts in association with LAMP1 to suppress ectopic stem cell niche formation in the shoot apical meristem (SAM) independently of cytokinin signaling pathway. Modulates responses to ABA, oxidative stress and abotic stress. Acts as negative regulator of the ABA signaling pathway to modulate freezing and drought stress responses. Mediates carbon and amino acid metabolism. May be involved in the acquisition and/or maintenance of seed dormancy. Involved in the regulation of response to heat shock and plant defense.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Hyperphyllin-treated wild-type plants showed amp1-related tissue-specific changes of various marker genes and a significant transcriptomic overlap with the mutant. PMID: 27208298
  2. Taken together, perturbation of CK- and ABA-related events by AMP1 mutation caused aberrant development phenotype and conflicting responses against abiotic and biotic stresses in Arabidopsis. PMID: 27743891
  3. De novo formation of supernumerary stem cell pools was enhanced in plants mutated in both AMP1 and its paralog LIKE AMP1, indicating that they exhibit partially overlapping roles to suppress stem cell niches respecification in the peripheral zone. PMID: 25673776
  4. Loss of ALTERED MERISTEM PROGRAM 1 function leads to supernumerary egg cells at the expense of synergids, enabling the generation of dizygotic twins. If twin embryos are formed, endosperm formation is prevented, eventually resulting in ovule abortion. PMID: 25544612
  5. AMP1 mediates abscisic acid, oxidative and abiotic stress responses and is involved in carbon and amino acid metabolism in Arabidopsis. PMID: 23621575
  6. report that ALTERED MERISTEM PROGRAM1 (AMP1), a gene that impacts multiple developmental processes in Arabidopsis via an unknown mechanism and its paralog LIKE AMP1 (LAMP1, At5g19740) mediate the translation inhibition, but not the RNA cleavage activity, of plant miRNAs. PMID: 23622241
  7. There are accession-specific effects of mutations in AMP1. PMID: 21637772
  8. auxin-derived positional information through MP carves out meristematic niches by locally overcoming a general differentiation-promoting activity involving AMP1. PMID: 17553903
  9. identified the mfo1 mutant that produces more leaves than the wild type and bolts at the same time as the wild type; gene was cloned and found to encode a putative glutamate carboxypeptidase, the previously reported AMP1 gene. PMID: 19597310
