Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Alpha-PS2/beta-PS is a receptor for Tig, wb and Ten-m. Involved in the function and/or development of the olfactory system.
Gene References into Functions
  1. the conserved transmembrane Drosophila proteoglycan Kon-tiki (Kon, also known as Perdido) interacts with the alphaPS2betaPS integrin (alphaPS2 is encoded by inflated and betaPS by myospheroid) to mediate muscle-tendon adhesion. PMID: 28104814
  2. the integrin heterodimer alphaPS3/betaPS becomes apically enriched and is required for engulfment by the epithelial follicle cells of the Drosophila ovary. PMID: 26398951
  3. Study presents evidence that alphaPS2 and alphaPS3 integrin have different and specific functions in the development of retinal glia PMID: 25731761
  4. Data indicate that Tsp66E and Tsp74F mutant ovaries had elevated inflated gene product alphaPS2 integrin levels and reduced endocytic trafficking. PMID: 23068610
  5. We also demonstrate a role for integrin function in salivary gland migration. PMID: 12729556
  6. analysis of binding by Drosophila alphaPS2betaPS integrin to ligands PMID: 16371365
  7. Alternative splicing in integrin alpha subunit extracellular domains may affect ligand affinity via relatively subtle alterations in integrin conformation. PMID: 17372926
  8. Three mutations that alter different parts of the alphaPS2 beta-propeller, plus a fourth that eliminated a late phase of alphaPS2 expression, all led to a strong decrease in alphaPS2betaPS at muscle ends, but normal levels of talin were recruited. PMID: 17618618
  9. These data suggest a model in which ERK phosphorylation must be spatially coupled to integrin-mediated DIM-7 activation to make a complex that can be imported efficiently. PMID: 17699602

Subcellular Location
Apical cell membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein. Lateral cell membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein. Basal cell membrane; Single-pass type I membrane protein. Note=During mid-oogenesis, localizes to the apical, to the lateral and to the basal membranes of follicle cells. Apical membrane localization peaks at oogenesis stages 9 and 10A in columnar follicle cells overlying the oocyte while decreases in the most posterior follicle cells. During embryogenesis, at the end of germband extension concentrates at the basal membrane of mesodermal cells, where they adhere to the ectoderm. Then, in visceral mesoderm localizes basally, whereas in somatic mesoderm is homogenously distributed.
Protein Families
Integrin alpha chain family
Tissue Specificity
In ovaries, highly expressed in follicle cells. At syncytial blastoderm stage, expressed in the embryonic mesodermal precursors but not in the ectoderm. At embryonic stages 7 and 10, expression is restricted to the mesoderm. At stage 12, expressed in the
