Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.

Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.

Target Background

Function
Required during anaphase to drive sister chromatid separation to promote flux by actively depolymerizing kinetochore microtubules at their pole-associated minus ends, thereby moving chromatids through a 'poleward flux'. Involved in asymmetric cell division of sensory organ precursor (SOP) cells by playing a role in the asymmetric localization of Sara-expressing endosomes to the pIIa daughter cell but not to the pIIb cell. Klp98A targets Sara-expressing endosomes to the central spindle which is symmetrically arranged in early cell division. During late cytokinesis, central spindle asymmetry is generated by enrichment of Patronin on the pIIb side which protects microtubules from depolymerization by Klp10A while unprotected microtubules on the pIIa side are disassembled by Klp10A, leading to the asymmetric delivery of Sara-expressing endosomes to the pIIa daughter cell.
