Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Tag Info
Tag type will be determined during the manufacturing process.
The tag type will be determined during production process. If you have specified tag type, please tell us and we will develop the specified tag preferentially.
Form
Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer before Lyophilization
Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Note: All of our proteins are default shipped with normal blue ice packs, if you request to ship with dry ice, please communicate with us in advance and extra fees will be charged.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Serine/threonine protein kinase which activates checkpoint signaling upon genotoxic stresses such as ionizing radiation (IR), ultraviolet light (UV), or DNA replication stalling, thereby acting as a DNA damage sensor. Recognizes the substrate consensus sequence [ST]-Q. Phosphorylates various proteins, which collectively inhibits DNA replication and mitosis and promotes DNA repair and recombination. Phosphorylates grp/CHK1. Phosphorylates 'Ser-137' of histone variant H2AX/H2AV at sites of DNA damage, thereby regulating DNA damage response mechanism. Essential for the DNA damage checkpoint in larval imaginal disks and neuroblasts and for the DNA replication checkpoint in the embryo. Has also an essential role during early nuclear divisions in embryos, where it is required to delay mitosis in response to incomplete DNA replication. Also plays an important role during meiosis, where it may monitor double-strand-break repair during meiotic crossing over, to regulate the progression of prophase I, and to enforce metaphase I delay observed at the end of oogenesis.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Overexpression of the Drosophila ATR homologue mei-41 elicits an effectual DNA damage response irrespective of irradiation. PMID: 30202398
  2. our data indicate that ATR and ATM are both needed for intestinal stem cell maintenance and proliferation; ATR seems to play a bigger role than does ATM. PMID: 26000719
  3. Drosophila ATR has distinct activities in the regulation of meiotic DNA damage and repair PMID: 22024169
  4. MEI-41 acts not in a single rigid signal transduction pathway, but in multiple molecular contexts to carry out its many functions PMID: 12807779
  5. Results suggest that ATM and ATR protect telomere integrity by safeguarding chromatin architecture that favors the loading of telomere-elongating, capping, and silencing proteins. PMID: 16203987
  6. A significant component of the defects in the later steps of DNA homologous recombination repair are due to loss of MEI-41-dependent cell cycle regulation. PMID: 17194776
  7. Mutations in the ATR/Chk2 DNA damage signal transduction pathway dramatically suppress these axis specification defects, but do not restore retrotransposon or Stellate silencing. PMID: 17199040
