Form
Liquid or Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer
If the delivery form is liquid, the default storage buffer is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 5%-50% glycerol. If the delivery form is lyophilized powder, the buffer before lyophilization is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0.
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4℃ for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Involved in the transmission of sensory signals from the chemoreceptors to the flagellar motors. It physically bridges CheA to the MCPs (methyl-accepting chemotaxis proteins) to allow regulated phosphotransfer to CheY and CheB.
Gene References into Functions
  1. Results suggest that ligand binding triggers changes in the receptor that alter its signalling contacts with CheW. PMID: 25060668
  2. Co-overexpression of Tsr, CheA, and CheW yields hexagonal Arrays. PMID: 24580139
  3. analysis of CheA and CheW protein architecture and their role in bacterial chemotaxis PMID: 22355139
  4. The exchange of CheA and CheW at receptor clusters shows a modest dependency on the receptor modification. PMID: 21978288
  5. Results identified CheW surfaces responsible for CheA-Tsr interaction. PMID: 21463637
  6. The 2[to]2[to]1 organization is the core structural and functional unit of chemotaxis signaling complexes and hexagonal arrays characteristic of signaling complexes may be built from this unit. PMID: 21606342
  7. The authors propose that the CheW-binding sites in receptor dimers overlap their trimer contact sites and that high levels of CheW saturate the receptor-binding sites, preventing trimer assembly. PMID: 20487303
  8. The synergistic effect of serine and CheW binding to Tsr is attributed to distinct influences on receptor structure PMID: 15766389
  9. chemotaxis in E. coli requires the presence of chemoreceptor arrays and that the formation of these arrays requires the scaffolding interactions of the signaling molecules CheA and CheW PMID: 17360429
