Conjugate Avi-tag Biotinylated
E. coli biotin ligase (BirA) is highly specific in covalently attaching biotin to the 15 amino acid AviTag peptide. This recombinant protein was biotinylated in vivo by AviTag-BirA technology, which method is BriA catalyzes amide linkage between the biotin and the specific lysine of the AviTag.

Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20℃/-80℃. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.

We can give priority to meet your demand for His-tag, pls confirm the N-terminal or C-terminal ? 6*His or 10*His ?
Pls remark this information when placing the order. And the successful rate for expressing this protein with your desired tag is 95.25%.
This protein is a receptor, if you want to use it for function assays, we recommend the cell free expressed protein,
because it is expressed in full length and theoretically can be used for functional determination, but we have not done related experiments.
Q:

I used a cell-free expression system and added liposomes to solubilize the membrane protein and this product was claimed that the solubilized protein was active but we could not test it nor use the preparation as the lipids interfered with the labeling reaction.
Do you add any liposomes/lipids to this product in order to solubilize it, or how else do you ensure that it is soluble?

A:
Regarding your inquiry about CSB-CF010899HU, pls check our reply as follows:
In general, the extraction, dissolution and purification of membrane proteins can be manipulated with detergents.
That is, the dissolution of the membrane protein only needs the detergent.
The liposome-membrane protein complex is not a water-soluble state, more similar to the suspension, which may interfere with some detection reactions.
We routinely prepare membrane proteins with detergents, and ultimately provide the product in a soluble form.

Target Background

Function
This is one of the several different receptors for 5-hydroxytryptamine (serotonin), a biogenic hormone that functions as a neurotransmitter, a hormone, and a mitogen. The activity of this receptor is mediated by G proteins that stimulate adenylate cyclase.
