Form
Liquid or Lyophilized powder
Note: We will preferentially ship the format that we have in stock, however, if you have any special requirement for the format, please remark your requirement when placing the order, we will prepare according to your demand.
Buffer
If the delivery form is liquid, the default storage buffer is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 5%-50% glycerol.
Note: If you have any special requirement for the glycerol content, please remark when you place the order.
If the delivery form is lyophilized powder, the buffer before lyophilization is Tris/PBS-based buffer, 6% Trehalose, pH 8.0.
Reconstitution
We recommend that this vial be briefly centrifuged prior to opening to bring the contents to the bottom. Please reconstitute protein in deionized sterile water to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/mL.We recommend to add 5-50% of glycerol (final concentration) and aliquot for long-term storage at -20°C/-80°C. Our default final concentration of glycerol is 50%. Customers could use it as reference.
Troubleshooting and FAQs
Storage Condition
Store at -20°C/-80°C upon receipt, aliquoting is necessary for mutiple use. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Shelf Life
The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself.
Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20°C/-80°C. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20°C/-80°C.
Lead Time
Delivery time may differ from different purchasing way or location, please kindly consult your local distributors for specific delivery time.
Notes
Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4°C for up to one week.

Target Background

Function
Specifically dimethylates two adjacent adenosines in the loop of a conserved hairpin near the 3'-end of 18S rRNA in the 40S particle. Involved in the pre-rRNA processing steps leading to small-subunit rRNA production independently of its RNA-modifying catalytic activity.
Gene References into Functions
  1. DIMT1 is overexpressed in gastric carcinoma and is significantly correlated with poor prognosis. PMID: 28601661
  2. Studies show that miroRNA miR-210 acts as a tumor suppressor in hypoxic conditions by downregulating the 18S rRNA base methyltransferase (DIMT1)-interferon regulatory factor 4 (IRF4) axis. PMID: 28164410
  3. DIMT1L and WBSCR22-TRMT112 are required for distinct pre-rRNA processing reactions leading to synthesis of 18S rRNA. Ribosome biogenesis requires the presence of the modification enzyme rather than its RNA-modifying catalytic activity. PMID: 25851604
  4. Epigenetic silencing of miR-210 increases the proliferation of gastric epithelium during chronic Helicobacter pylori infection by activating STMN1 and DIMT1. PMID: 25187177
Subcellular Location
Nucleus, nucleoplasm. Nucleus, nucleolus.
Protein Families
Class I-like SAM-binding methyltransferase superfamily, rRNA adenine N(6)-methyltransferase family
